Photo Recap: Studio 345 Students Visit the Preservation Hall Jazz Band

In Charlotte, NC on March 26th, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band had visitors from Studio 345, a free out of school youth development program that uses Digital Photography, Digital Media Arts, and Multimedia Design to educate and inspire students to stay in school, graduate, and pursue goals beyond high school.

The group of students that came to the sound check were only a few of their 40 music students that will have the opportunity to perform at the McGlohon Theater, the same theater that PHJB performed at, in 9 weeks. It was an opportunity for the students to attend their first performance in the venue where they had the ability to observe professional musicians. Their teacher, Jerrard Polk, noted that students were inspired by what they saw and heard.
